Pollyteach is an established independent school and alternative provision for children (aged 8-16) with a range of special educational needs and learning disabilities.
Our priority is to build trust with our students and provide a supportive and safe environment in which they can learn. Hence our ethos: ‘engaged to learn’. The curriculum lead role is underpinned by a range of accredited qualifications including GCSEs and vocational awards.
We provide personalised tutoring and support to students one-to-one and in small group settings to meet their educational and wellbeing needs – either as part of a full-time programme or to supplement mainstream school provision.
We are looking to recruit 4 curriculum leads who share our core values to help us to deliver outstanding education in maths, English and science for our students.

Our Curriculum Leads teach students aged 8 to 16 in small groups and on a one to one basis. You will encourage positive behaviour and motivate them to achieve positive outcomes. You are the lead on your specialist subject, including setting targets, agreeing schemes of work, and evaluating the teaching of the subject across the provision.

The advertised salary is the actual salary for the role. The FTE is £35,542.00 per annum. Pay award pending

Working Hours
Term time working (39 weeks): Monday – Friday 08:30 – 16:30 with a 30-minute break taken flexibly. Up to additional 5 days during school holidays.
The role will be based at one of Pollyteach’ s five sites in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Blidworth, Nottingham or Mansfield. While we will try to take your preference into account, you may be required to work from any site in accordance with business needs.
You will also be required to support the learner outdoors and/or off-site in various engagement activities
